Noah Heller, one of the main architects of Hulu’s virtual reality strategy, left the video streaming service to create his own venture company, 3Rodeo. Heller confirmed that primarily focuses on supporting startups in Los Angeles, the new fund has already invested in three transactions.
Heller says that the ideal size of venture capital investments will be from 250 000 to 500 000 US dollars, and the company will focus primarily on investments of entry level.
Already now he managed to collect solid portfolio companies at an early stage. The first three disclosed investment firms include Fair, which involves a radical transformation of the concept of car ownership through a subscription service; Lighter, a startup that offers recipes and menus that are made up of athletes and nutritionists; and Mira, which is a company developing an inexpensive headset with an expanded reality to compete with a similar HoloLens from Microsoft.
As previously reported, the legendary trader Don Wilson is now investing his profits in startups.
